I don’t understand why pitch deck still exists for early stage investing

All you have to do: see the product in use, talk to the founder(s), and work with them

Lets be honest everybody could make pretty slides after certain amount of training and design/content could be outsourced - back in highschool I used to make money by helping teams design pitch decks

Decision making should be only driven by evidence that couldn’t be outsourced- what are the founders motivated by, how the team work together, how they talk to customers and build, what do they see in a week, a month and 10 years time, how they make decisions, how they push through when there’s no positive feedback - stuff like that

I like beautiful things when they are fun at the same time
